And I said, well, last I checked, I'm the only one of your anchors who that has an MBA.

So I would argue that I'm uniquely equipped to do that show.

And they said, okay, but how can you do two shows?

And I said, because I'm a woman and you know that I will work twice as hard.

to co-anchor CNN's money line. She joined the Huffington Post early on in its infancy and was a senior editor there.

She's also an author and a distinguished voice in media.

And is now the first woman ever to be appointed dean of the USC Annenberg School of Journalism.

I'm really excited to talk to you about, first of all, your new role, the first female dean of the U.S.C.

Annenberg School of Communications and Journalism. We're going to get to that in a minute.

And also fake news and everything that's going on in the world right now around journalism. But I want to talk to you about your path to all of this. And one thing I admire when I look at your story is the number of different places you could have gone, given your history. You started out in New York City. You modeled

17 Magazine and Estee Lauder. Yes. And you use that to pay, I read, for the University of Pennsylvania when you studied literature.
