In the course of erasing important achievements of the past what you're doing is you're encouraging people to forget what the past was really all about.

And already we're seeing a situation where we no longer remember.

What Aristotle is, because we're told the Aristotle is this founder of white

supremacy essentially a kid going to school today will be told that Churchill was a

war criminal and when you have that kind of region of the greatest icon of

20th century British history then you don't remember very much about where you've come

from.

So Frank, let's talk about your new book, The War Against the Past, Why the West

must fight for its history.

It's a really good read.

There's so much stuff in there.

Lots of things I want to ask you about.

But I guess I'll start off with a broad question.

You kick off the book with a really dramatic image of a statue of Abraham Lincoln being dragged down in Portland during the BLM riots of 2020.

And it is a very useful reminder of just how physical the war against the past has become

over the past few years.
