0:49.6	studying third Nephi one through seven the fact we're in Third Nephi means that we have left
0:53.9	behind what one scholar called the terrifying book of Helaman. And in some ways it
0:59.1	truly was terrifying, especially in how applicable it is to our day.
1:04.0	We're living through some terrifying days,
1:06.0	and it's all been described in advance in the Book of Mormon.
1:10.0	But before starting with Third Nephi, or even looking back to Heilaman, I actually want to begin today in the doctrine and covenants,
1:15.0	quick field trip to Restoration scripture.
1:18.0	Specifically, section 118, which is one of the more obscure revelations in this dispensation. The main purpose of
1:23.8	section 118 was to call the quorum of the 12 on a mission to Great Britain.
1:27.8	But the context of the revelation is fascinating and it has everything to do with what
1:32.4	we're going to be talking about today in 3rd Nephi chapter one.
1:35.0	You see when this revelation was given it was July 8th 1838 and the Saints are at Far West Missouri.
1:42.0	And in verse 4 of this revelation, the Korma and in the Saints are at Far West Missouri.
1:42.6	And in verse four of this revelation,
1:44.7	the Quorum of the 12 is told,
1:46.2	the next spring let them depart to go over the great waters
1:49.9	and there promulgate my gospel.
