How is the adversary try to attack people of faith?

There is open apostasy,

and then there is more subtle inactivity.

Some people fight against faith

while others simply dwindle in unbelief.

Doesn't that seem to be what siege warfare is trying to do?

Satan attacks us with transgression and temptation, but also with distraction.
