Hello, welcome back to Scripture Central.

I'm Lynn Hilton Wilson.

And I'm Jack Welch, and we're very happy to have you here for five very exciting chapters today.

It's at the very end of our Savior's ministry.

He came back multiple times after his three days with them, and we get to finish that up,

and then have the wonderful period of peace

followed by some tragic historical changes in Fourth Nephi. And that'll be our this

week's Come Follow Me lesson. As you're studying, obviously you'll want to go through each of the chapters,

but the first one, chapter 27, spend the most time on. It is really the go-to

place for Jesus' own definition of what he means by His Gospel.

I just want to remind us that it was President Benson who said, the type of the second

coming of Jesus Christ is typified in the

Book of Mormon. And so Fourth Nephi is very appropriate for us to learn about. Third Nephi is

very appropriate for us to learn about. But the whole pattern is what I'm trying to suggest. Before

the millennial reign, we are going to be repeating these things

that have been taught in the book Mormon. And then the millennium will continue on as Fourth Nephi did.

Yes, much longer than just the 200 years. So there's lots to look forward to here.

Let's dive in to the text.

Chapter 27, verse 1 begins that the disciples had been praying, and as these 12 were journeying

and preaching, it says that they were gathered together and were united in mighty prayer

and fasting.

And I wanted to ask you the difference between my prayers and mighty prayer.
