Summary
Timothy G. Patitsas has been the Interim Dean of Hellenic College since January of 2020 and the Assistant Professor of Ethics at Holy Cross since the Fall of 2005. In 2019 he published The Ethics of Beauty, an attempt to recover one of the most ancient emphases of Orthodox spirituality, which is the firm priority given to combating the sensual rather than the intellectual passions. The book shows how this translates into a consoling and liberating Beauty-first approach to Orthodox ethics and life. The work also presents ethical, theological, and scriptural definitions of traumatic experience with a view to aiding recovery.

| 1:37.4 | for this? Yeah, that's a good question. I mean, I like cinema. I certainly like, I think of film as, you know, I think of it as, well, |
| 1:51.2 | I think a lot about, you know, how information has been recorded and transmitted over, you know, |
| 1:56.4 | the span of human existence. And this idea that, you know, long before there was writing, |
| 2:02.6 | there were people sitting around campfires telling, or fires at night, |

| 2:08.6 | And it's so primordial. |
| 2:11.6 | And it seems like such a good way to transmit information from generation to generation. |
