The Hello and welcome to mini episode 410 of real life ghost stories and I have three spooky stories for you today and the last story comes from October the 25th, 2024.

And story number one comes from Abbey.

When I was a child, my grandparents split up and my

grand eventually got together with a man called Richard. He was a great big man, gave great hugs,

and had an infectious laugh. He really took care of my grand and we were a close family. I loved him

so much. They still lived in their separate houses at this point

and were due to be married. However, one day when he didn't show up to my grand's house as planned

and wasn't answering the phone, she went around to his place to check on him. She found him

dead in his bed as though he had gotten in to go to sleep intentionally.

Richard, or Grampy, as I knew him, passed away when I was 11 and I was heartbroken.

We all were, understandably. Since this point, however, I've felt him with me at random times in my life. He had a particular comforting smell, one that I had never smelt on a person before his cuddles or

since. From time to time I smell him and I always greet him with a hello grampy and chat to him

as if he's there. One day, I think he saved my life. To set the scene, I lived in a small

countryside village called Bramley at the time, and would drive an hour down

the M3 to get to my job in Southampton every day. Money was tight, so I'd bought a car from a local

guy who was selling cars off cheap, which in hindsight was a stupid idea. On this particular

morning, I'd smelt my grampy in the car with me, to which I greeted with my usual,

hey, and chatty, one-sided conversation.

On driving out of the village and through to the next one, I looked down to change my music

and accidentally clipped my front left wheel on the curb which popped my tyre.

The hole was huge.
