And our film review this week. Our film review is Starve Acre. Starve Acre was released in

2023. It has 5.4 out of 10 on IMDB and 84% on rotten tomatoes.

When their son starts acting strangely, a couple unwittingly allow dark and sinister forces into their home,

awakening a long, dormant, ancient, evil rooted deep in the countryside.

So as always, with these film reviews, I'm going to do some likes and dislikes.

And starting with the likes, this is based on a novel of the same name called Starbaker, obviously.

And I haven't read it.

So I don't know much about the novel.

I know that Chenade from the Poisoners' Cabinet read it and really enjoyed it.

To me, this film felt like the epitome of slow burn folk horror. So if you like folk horror, you're just,

you're going to like this film. I did I think it was the best film in the world? No, but did I enjoy it?

Yeah, I guess I did. So I love Matt Smith as an actor.

I just think he has the most stunning face.

Like I just love to watch him on screen.

I think his face is just so watchable.
