us through one of the lenses that she, as a sociologist, uses to analyze the top-down

socially controlling societies like chivalry.

And then she walks us through the honestly hilarious studies that have been conducted

on individuals that have these kinds of ideologies.

Here's a sample.

Like 50 to 80 people are assigned this game.

You get a big map, and you're assigned as a region based on kind of population, so

like India has more people than North America.

And then you're told that you need to assign yourself a leader or two.

Like you have a leads in this group.

Once that happens, the leaders are taken aside, and they're given control over that countries

or that region's bank account.

And this is to help them, like, part of the game is to move around resources respond to

scenarios that are come up in the game that you have to respond to, and you're also inherent

a bunch of like inherent problems.

Like if you're in North America, you've got to manage your resources and bring in growth
