He truly enjoyed what he did.

And beyond that, you know, people always say it, but it's the people.

And so he wanted to help.

And he had the knowledge.

hosts Kenny Coleman over the years I've been very fortunate to talk some of the

greatest minds in this industry I remember years ago when pursuit spirits was

still very young making some phone calls looking for a particular set of barrels

and one of those calls I made was to a guy named Richard Wolfe.

As a general consumer, you probably have no idea who he is, but Richard was at the forefront

of consulting and barrel brokering and that whole game for decades. And then years later,

I got to meet his daughter, Monica, who's now putting her own stamp on the whiskey world,

and she's behind some of the biggest NDP brands that you see on the shelf today.

And Monica's one of those people that likes to stick behind the scenes.

She politely turns down my request to come on the show time and time again.

However, when I heard about the passing of her dad,

I let the dust settle for a bit. I came to her and I said, what if you came on the show and you

talk about your dad's legacy and all the influence that he had in the industry because not many

people really know about it. I'm glad she took me up on this offer because this is one of those rare times we get to sit

and reflect on days past.
