I'm out on the West Coast this week, doing some family things. I saw the 49ers and cowboys on Sunday night in Santa

Claire. We're going to discuss that at length, but probably more so with me and my co-pilot Miles Simmons,

probably more so a look at what sort of lies ahead for these two franchises

entering the last 12 games of the season.

We are also gonna be joined later in the podcast

by Michael McCambridge, author of a really good new book about how the 70s

reshaped our sporting landscape.

And what is so amazing to me when I read this book, it's called the big time.

And what's so amazing, and Miles right at the end of our pod before we introduce or the end of our second segment before we introduce Michael McCambridge.

I'm going to ask you about to me one of the weirdest

juxtapositions and that is on the first day of this decade on January 1, 1970.

An all white team, the University of Texas,

won the College Football mythical national championship.

And 10 days later, two extremely integrated teams in Kansas City and Minnesota played for the Super Bowl.

So I found that to be, that's the one thing about this book and the descriptions of those two

things that really is stuck with me. we'll get into a little bit of that later in the pod but

Miles and I are going to break down the 49ers and Cowboys and we're going to talk about two other things in this
