Welcome to our third installment of our rap beef series, where Lou and I go into different rap feuds that transpired over the course of history and hip hop.

And for today's episode, we have a very special one because today we're going to be dissecting Aftermath versus Murder Inc, more notably 50 Cent versus Jarl.

And this one's super interesting because when you look at it, this is arguably one of the most eventful

rap feuds in hip hop history. It spanned for over 20 years and some even argued that it's not even

done. So, Lou, let's get into this, right? Because you and I put together the notes for this,

we went into the history of it, we went into the nitty gritty. What do you think about this

rap feud overall? And what was the most, let's say,

notable aspect of the beef in your eyes in comparison to, let's say, other beefs that transpired

within the genre? I think it's just the sheer animosity that there was between them and the

idea that it is one of the biggest rap battles of all time because yes, 50 cent and Jarl were the faces of the battle, but when

you really think about it, you had, you know, Irv Gaudi and Black Child of Murdering being

involved. You had the whole aftermath side where you're getting disses being sent out at Jarl

from Dr. Dre and M&M. Like, it was really a a war between two different labels and I think that's what makes it so special

and unique.

What's also interesting is that a lot of battles will often start in the studio and then

maybe bleed out into the streets, but this one had the opposite effect where it actually

started out in the streets and then

bled into the studio which I always found super interesting so in today's episode what

we're going to do is give you guys some history on the origin story and background then

take you guys through the timeline of events and there's quite a few of them and then

we're going to end off by answering the questions,
