1:28.6 | starting anywhere from one to two weeks before menstruation. It often co-occurs with other psychiatric disorders, |
1:36.7 | including major depressive disorder, anxiety disorder. Individuals with PMDD are also at greater risk for self-harm. |
1:45.0 | So we know there's an association between ADHD and PMDD, |
1:50.0 | and we know these serious health risks, |
1:52.0 | but very few physicians screen girls and women for signs of PMDD. |
1:59.0 | So it often goes undiagnosed and untreated, which is why we are here today. |
