Auchin-Clos. Before getting into politics, Jake was a Marine officer. And like many young

politicians, he's only 36 years old, he is thinking about what the future looks

like in a realigning America.

Yeah, I'm super pumped to chat with you.

We met back last spring, but it's good to always take a conversation like that onto a podcast as everyone is really interested in doing these days.

How about you just kick things off by introducing yourself, which district you represent,

your background, all that good stuff? I am in my second term representing 35 cities and towns

in Congress. They are stretching from the inner suburbs of Boston through the border of Rhode

Islands, cities like Fall River, Taunton, Attleboro, Newton, Brookline.

And I have spent most of my life in Massachusetts, grew up in a family of medical professionals,

but took a different path after graduated from college, served in the Marine Corps for four years,

deployed twice, came home, worked in the private sector, companies big and small for about

five years while also serving as a city counselor for my hometown, where I really focused on
