conversation, I'm joined by Fox News' Juan Williams, discussed his new book, New Prize for

These Eyes, The Rise of America's Second Civil Rights Movement. This book is all about the 2010s

post-Obama racial awakening that really shifted so much about our politics, everything

from Black Lives Matter to the George Foley protests, and how questions around policing basically

advanced the civil rights story from the 1950s and 1960s that we all know. Juan previously wrote,

eyes on the prize, America's Civil Rights Years, 1994 to 1965,

and I was really fascinating to get into the different ways that the first Civil Rights

Movement, which is focused on ending Jim Crow and securing voting rights, really differed from

the period that we experienced for the past decade or so. As we are sitting at the start of the second Trump presidency,

understanding the ways that the Second Civil Rights Movement both succeeded and failed

is critical to understanding the path to political success moving forward.

I was particularly interested in the focus on the limits of activism

as a means for pursuing political change, longstanding theme, and will focus a lot of time
