Roma 72. The 72 second time I have been ranting out my ass and some people out there in the world

are listening I got an email today from, well I don't know if it's a man or a woman because the name was very confusing to me, but this person said that they are a trucker in Iran and they listen to this

podcast while driving their truck in Iran. What a world. What a world? What a world. My voice, this

voice that you're hearing is vibrating in the cab of a truck in Iran.

I don't know whether to be honored or freaked out by that.

So I'm just going to go with 50-50.

I'm kind of honored and kind of freaked out.

There's a lot, a lot, I, you know, it's weird having a podcast like this because you go through life and things kind of present themselves as oh that's something

I should talk about next time I do a Roma or in an intro to some episode and you know sometimes I take notes and like if you could see my

computer screen right now they're they're posted notes stuck all over it talking about you know with ideas of things to talk about

But sometimes I look at it and I forget what it was you know it just says

You know artist in Mexico and I'm like yeah wait a minute which artist was that in

Mexico and why did I want to talk about that and yeah it's it's interesting.

One thing I wanted to mention to you, if you don't subscribe through Substack,

one of the things you're missing out on

is the monthly open thread which I used to do pretty much

just for you know paying subscribers but last month I asked the paying subscribers like what do you think should I open this up to everyone and most of them said yeah open it up. Let's you know let him in let him in those free loaders and if you don't know what an open threat is it's

basically just a post where people use the comment section to to have a

conversation so it's kind of like a community space for people who

listen to the podcast. And yeah, it's awesome. It's awesome because it's one of the only spaces on the internet that I'm aware of where people are actually cool. It's kind of like, you know, what we were all hoping the internet was going to be 25 years ago when it was young and innocent and we were saying things like, oh, it's going to make the world a better place because it's going to bring, you know,
