This is a catch-up episode.

First of all, I want to say thank you to all of you who sent me supportive loving messages after I posted that a little thing there about my friend dying and my pending absence from the podcast and from your inbox for the next few weeks.

That was really touching.

It's strange.

We talk about, you know, when I meet people through the podcast as I do often,

one of the things that we often talk about is the strange relationship where you feel like you know me, but I don't know you.

And so it's this bizarre kind of unidirectional relationship and yet what I thought about when I got all those

messages was that it's not a one-way relationship.

I have this incredible honor and privilege

of mentioning something that's happened in my personal life and having dozens, sometimes hundreds of people,

reach out to me and you know talk about how they're going through

something similar or you know just that they wish me well or whatever it is that just this this

influx of love and support and kindness from strangers is amazing and you know I

guess you're not strangers, right?

Because that emotional flow goes in both directions.

So it's a weird thing.

It's, I don't know, is is it like it's like an emotional glory hole.

Like like there's there's contact, there's connection, but we don't see each other somehow.
