to last week's show. We're recording shows back to back because I'm about to move house

and then go on paternity leave. So you might hear Tom in some upcoming episodes going

rogue and going solo and also interviewing some people. That's mainly because I'm going

to be off on paternity but we're trying to get a couple of shows in the bag and last week

we tried to or attempted to or had the intention of recording a show all about being selfish

and how it's actually human nature to be selfish or maybe the word is self-serving.

But we went down a rabbit hole of nature versus science alternative medicine and it went

down lots of different rabbit holes. So we've yet to look at anyone's questions if you

sort of sent any in or you know had some expanded thoughts. So apologies that we're not picking

that up but we will pick that up if people do but I promise to go down that rabbit hole today

and Tom you are still with me hello Tom. Hello, Ben. It's been Edgesons we spoke. A good four to

five seconds since we hit record on the last one. But like I've just said when the energy is

flowing and the ideas are there, hit record, get the content and just let it go. Yeah man.

So this week Ben had the idea of talking about selfishness and the problem I have is that like

in probably I would refer to as like our little corner of podcasting and health and wellness and

stuff. This topic's been done at death if you do it from a certain angle. So the angle that I'm

talking about is the angle that I would imagine most people would expect from a show on selfishness.

You need to be less selfless and sometimes it's really important to be selfish and I think that

goes without saying to be honest. We've all heard the analogy if you're on a plane and the masks fall

from the roof you're supposed to fix your own mask before you fix anybody else's. It's a good

analogy and it makes a lot of sense. If you want to live your life in a way that benefits other people
