Summary

Allene would never describe herself in such grand terms, but the fact is that she’s spent a long career in law working hard to defend and promote the fundamental decency that is at the heart of the American justice system — or should be.

Radio Mano, Papa Chango Hello, everybody. Welcome to another episode of Tangentially Speaking.

0:32.5

My guest today is a lovely woman named Aline, named after her father, Alan, I think she said. Evans.

0:42.7

Aline worked for many years as a hyper-successful lawyer in the state of Texas primarily.

0:52.3

She worked for the state insurance board.

0:55.2

She was a litigator for years.

0:57.8

2:07.1

She's a, like I said, she's a lovely woman.

2:09.5

She's a very, very smart, very insightful, very decent person, exactly the kind of person that we need.

2:22.8

I'm tempted to say now more than ever, but I don't know.

2:26.3

I guess we always need people like this who are smart and decent and ethical and on our side, on the side of decency.

2:39.8

So that's a lean. I'm not really going to talk much more. I'm going to keep my political

2:44.7

commentary and all that other nonsense for the Romas that I've been doing. I'm keeping the conversational episodes
