This is Adam Aronovich.

He is a fascinating guy.

And it's definitely one of those situations where I invited him on the podcast thinking he was something.

And then as I started looking into him after he accepted and I was like, okay, I better look into this guy a little bit. I realized he's

way more than I initially thought. So yeah, this has been a journey of learning for me.

It's been really awesome to have this conversation and to read some of his writing.

I mean, what happened was I came across this account on Instagram called Healing from Healing.

And you may follow the account. You may know what I'm talking about because it's a very well-known

account. I don't know how many followers.

82,000 followers.

So it's pretty well-known.

And it basically, this account takes the piss out of the New Age movement,

the healing and transformation culture, right?

And it does it really well.

It's fucking funny.

It's really funny.

So I just, that's what I knew.

Like people were forwarding me this stuff of, you know,

instant shamans coming back from Peru full of nonsense, fake wisdom, and, you know, obviously it's ripe for satire.

So I reached out to the guy behind it and said, hey, would you like to come on my podcast?

I'd love to talk about this, you know, the use of humor to puncture the sacred hot air balloon of this particular subculture.
