0:09.1	If this is your first time joining us today, then let me just welcome you and say that I am so glad that you're here.
0:14.8	My name is Christian Keeter and I live in the southeast of the United States of America with my amazing, beautiful godly wife
0:21.4	Lacey and our two wonderful daughters, Felicity and Serenity. All right. So today we are talking
0:29.3	about something that is simultaneously simple and yet difficult. The concept is simple and even the
0:36.5	execution of this can be simple. However, actually
0:39.4	getting ourselves to the point where we are applying what we're talking about today, where it
0:43.9	becomes a regular part of our daily lives, that is the hard part. However, I hope by the end of
0:50.1	this episode for us all to see the value of today's topic as we look at the scriptures
0:55.7	together. So having said that, and before we transition into the first passage we're going to be
1:01.5	looking at, I just want to say at the outset that I'm going to be drawing heavily today just on
1:08.0	the work of people like Pete Scazzaro and his book Emotionally Healthy Spirituality
1:13.4	and John Eldridge and his book, Resilient, and other pastors and things I've heard too.
1:20.8	And I just want to give credit where credit is due.
1:23.3	So I just want to say that this episode was influenced a lot by the things I believe that God showed me through hearing them and then seeing how that applied to my life as well.
1:34.8	And hopefully how it applies to your life by the end of this episode.
1:38.5	So having said that, let's transition into the first passage of scripture, which is going to be the famous vine and the branches
1:45.8	passage from John 15.
1:48.6	We're going to be looking just at verses four and five, and this is a passage that we have discussed
1:54.6	at length before in episodes, I think it was episodes 15 and 16 of this podcast. Yeah, 15 and 16 named Abide Parts 1 and 2.
2:04.9	So I will link to those episodes in the show notes if you want to spend more time around this topic of abiding.
