Hello and welcome back to Cult Leader. I'm your Cult Leader, Spencer Henry, and I just want to say first that I love you guys.

We got a few things to address before we can get started today. So let's do it. Let's talk about the obvious. A lot has happened in the past week.

There are a few different things that I want to hit on here. One, I received a few messages asking me if I'm going to be making any changes to my show in a wake of recent events.

I'm telling you now the show will continue the way it has been. I have always spoken out about the injustice in overall corrupt system, especially here in the United States. I've been very vocal, especially lately.

I would say that 99% of the cult has been aligned on my core values, and that makes me really happy. Of course, we have lost quite a few in the past few weeks since I've made my position even more clear.

I'm here and I guess saying that Black Lives Matter has offended some people. Again, I invite you to go to that highlight and educate yourself on why you may be feeling that way.

But those are not my people. A lot of them have to announce the show. That's okay. I will continue speaking my truth, even if it means one person is listening and gets to feel safe.

It's important that we remember the goal is for everyone to be equal and that has not been the case for a very long time. And we are still so far away from escaping the racism and prejudice in our communities.

The second thing I want to talk to you guys about is money. And I debated whether saying anything about this or not, but I'm a strong believer in putting your money where your mouth is. And I always have been. I'm lucky that I have expendable income because of the money that I make here on cult leader.

I'm a believer in addition to my day job. And I think it's important for you guys to know where your money is going. I grew up knowing it's improper etiquette to talk about finances. I also am avidly in a grants that if you are donating to a cause or you are doing something charitable, you do not need to share it, especially on social media.

I think it's so cringey when people go and tip a waiter and then they film their reaction. It's like you don't need to do that. You can just do the nice thing. But I'm pretty private with those matters. But I want to be transparent. I donate a lot of the money that comes in from cult leader to several different charities. I always have from larger organizations like the Trevor project to fundraisers for my sister's school in Oakland.

I'm even helping others for the sake of helping others. And I generally don't share that because I don't believe in sharing things like that for a pat on the back. I will say the biggest change overall that I'm making is being more conscientious about the plethora of like new charities that have been started as of lately.

I will continue to share those charities that I'm a fan of with you guys online. But I don't want to talk about money ever again because gross.

Third and last, it's important to remember that this fight does not end George Floyd, Breonna Taylor. They are just two of many who were murdered by the people who are supposed to serve and protect.

We must continue to say their names and the hundreds of others who were failed by our systems. You with me, you're here, you're good.

Let's just take a collective big breath.

Okay, you're okay. I'm okay. We're okay. Let's talk about some other stuff. So I need you guys to know that I started watching American Horror Story Asylum again.

I think I told you guys a few episodes ago that I just rewatched 1984. But Asylum is so insane. Like I forgot how fucked this season is.

It's not my favorite, but it's still way better than Roa No. So buy. But it's been interesting to rewatch.

And another interesting thing. Today's story. That's a segue. You guys, this story is fucking crazy. Like, batshit. When you look at Tamera, Samson Nova, you see a little old lady, a friendly babushka, like, hey, low cutie, you need help crossing the street.

So the fact that she is an actual monster is not only unexpected, but staggering. It's honestly kind of hard to believe when you see the pictures of her, but trust me, she is pure evil.
