Hello and welcome back to Cult Leader. I'm your Cult Leader, Spencer Henry and Boy, do I have some exciting updates to share in today's episode?

Last week we talked about Casey Anthony and I loved seeing all of your guides as responses and the different theories and plots. However, I will say there was a few people who were trying to dispute Casey Anthony's partaking in the past.

I just want to say look at the facts. I mean, okay, let's paint a different picture. We'll go down a different route with it. If it wasn't her, she was somehow directly involved with it. There was no way she was just meandering about getting trance stamps and just chilling while her daughter was missing for 30 days. So think about it, think about it. I know that you're probably not sure what you're saying.

I know that you're probably thinking it's not Monday, what's happening, what day is it? But this episode came out today for a reason which I will explain why momentarily. If you have not listened to Deadly Daybell's part 1 or 2, then you will surely understand zero of what I talk about today. So I recommend hitting those first and then circling back. Now, quick breakdown for those who choose to ignore me, which I mean, come on, you guys are supposed to be cult followers. What are you doing?

Laurie Valas children Tyley Ryan and Jay Jay Vallow have not been seen since September of last year. Ready for this? Laurie's husband Charles, her fourth husband to be precise, was shot to death by her brother Alex shortly before the children went missing. Since then, Alex has died as well. Laurie got married at fifth time after the children went missing in Hawaii to her current husband and assumed a complex Chad daybell.

Whose wife Tammy also mysteriously died just a month before the two got married. Laurie currently sitting in jail awaiting trial, but neither her nor Chad have released any information on where the children are despite desperate pleas from the families, the public, as well as authorities. Chad remains out in society, and they also have a cult.

So as for why I'm uploading this today over the past 72 hours, a three part interview was released. And when I tell you guys, I was floored with what I heard. I was floored. Nate Eaton has been doing, he's been covering this case for the East Idaho news team for the since pretty much the inception of it.

Well, he sat down with Melanie Gibb, Laurie's former BFF, not to be confused with Laurie's niece Melanie from episodes one and two.

Now, there are a lot of moving parts and layers in this story, which is why I'm telling you you have to go back and listen to parts one and two before listening to this, unless you've been following the case closely elsewhere.

So the interviews are all available to watch on the East Idaho news YouTube channel and each part is about 30 minutes long.

Make sure you're following along at Coal Leader podcast. Now let's get to the gist. So Melanie Gibb, who is she, how was she involved?

Well, she was a BFF of Laurie Valow, as I said, but she actually met Chad first in northern Utah at a conference he was speaking at.

Melanie met Laurie when she was teaching a class at their church in October of 2018.

Laurie had come up to her afterwards and introduced herself and the pair became quick friends.

They would talk about their spiritual awakenings, the second coming, the whole Shabang, and in the past few months there's been a lot of new interviews with friends and family members of Laurie Valow.

Lots of frustrating interviews, I will say. Lots of beating around the bush, super frustrating.

We've heard from multiple family members, including Laurie's own mother, who all seemed to think that Laurie was incapable of killing her own children.

But after this interview with Melanie, I think we're all going to feel a little less certain about the whereabouts of the children.

So, October of 2018, Melanie meets Laurie. This was around the same time that Chad and Laurie met for the first time.

And she says that Laurie knew Chad was married with five kids, but Tammy, his wife, was never really brought along with him.
