But just imagine, you know, your life is sort of like these two tracks, right? So I'm in the colored section of town and then there's the white section of town. And now and again, the Twain would sort of semi-meat like at the grocery store, but my mother always stood back and let the white choppers go ahead of her, right? And all of a sudden, after Brown versus the Board of Education, long after,

because Georgia was one of those states that held off for a long time and would not follow, would not follow,

finally when the Supreme Court said, that's it, and all the other courts said, that's it, you're done.

Like in the middle of the school year, we suddenly integrated. So we suddenly left our school and went to this brand new school across town,

not brand new, but new to us, in all of these white kids. And it was almost as if we had just
