Summary

Before Deborah Roberts was an Emmy award-winning journalist with ABC News, she was a young woman growing up in the segregated South, in the small town of Perry, Georgia. Today she travels around the world covering the most important news stories of our time, but it was those early years that helped to shape her curiosity, her drive and her desire to ask questions. On this episode, Deborah shares her experiences with integration, overcoming adversity, building an award winning career, difficult career trade-offs and balancing a demanding career with parenthood.
