On Monday, Dwight Clark passed away at the age of 61.

Coach Kyle Shanahan asked Kena Turner to address the team about the importance of Dwight Clark to the organization.

Turner was Clark's teammate. He supported DC in his battle with ALS every step of the way.

Now Turner serves as a special advisor to the general manager with the 49ers.

Over the weekend, Turner made the trip to Dallas to support one of the team's current players, Solomon Thomas, as he and his family cope with

unimaginable tragedy. In January, Solomon Thomas's best friend, his older sister Ella, committed suicide.

This weekend, Thomas took part in an event to raise funds and awareness for suicide prevention.
