Hi, I'm Dorneau Porter.

How are you doing? I just remember we're on completely different time zones, aren't we?

Yeah, it's 10.30 a.m. here. And I'm fine.

Oh, it's good. Oh, good. Well, it's a weird old time and I know that that's um,

what we're going to be talking about with your latest book.

But for people who don't know who you are and what you do, could you give us an

introduction to you? Yes, so I'm Dorneau Porter. I am a writer and I um, God, what else?

I'm a woman. I am a mother of two. I am a wife. I used to make documentaries on the BBC

in Turniphal and now I live in Los Angeles and um, type like my life depends on it.

I, for one, I'm so excited to talk into you because I'm sure like so many other women and men,

I absolutely adore you and just think you're so fantastic. Um, and I was really excited to see

the little, the, a bit of the press release from life and pieces. And I've read some of your fiction

before, um, but I don't think I've ever read any nonfiction about you. Have you done nonfiction

before? I have years and years and years ago. I did a really, um, a book about internet dating
