unveiled a series of actions to roll back landmark environmental rules. In what EPA administrator

Lee Zeldin calls the most consequential day of deregulation in American history. As part of his announcement today, Zeldon is making good on one of President Trump's

key campaign promises.

The EPA will roll back vehicle tailpipe emission standards the Biden administration put into

place that in the Trump administration's view amounts to an electric vehicle mandate.

The EPA is also undoing regulations on power plants, reconsidering the agency's 2009 finding

that greenhouse gas emissions endanger public health and the environment.

The approval for the changes includes a lengthy process that includes public comment.

Environmental groups have vowed to oppose the actions with one saying that they would result

in the greatest increase in pollution in decades in the U.S.

The short-term bill that would keep the government running through the end of the fiscal year

does not have the votes in the Senate to pass.

Minority leader Chuck Schumer says,

House Democrats were never consulted when the bill, which passed the House yesterday, was crafted.

Our caucus is unified on a clean April 11th CR that will keep the government open

and give Congress time to negotiate bipartisan legislation that can pass.

If no bill has passed, the government will partially shut down at midnight Friday.

A federal judge has ruled President Trump lacked the power to fire a Democrat from the Federal

Labor Relations Board, which hears disputes between government agencies and their employee unions and as
