Summary

New research shows that a long-term low FODMAP diet can be used effectively for IBS. This is huge as there have been many theoretical concerns about using a low FODMAP diet long-term, such as negative impacts to the gut microbiota, nutrition levels, and quality of life.

However, we’ll cover each common criticism and answer them with science.

And if you have any additional questions about low FODMAP that you would like answered in the future, let me know in the comments!

map diet. Pivotal study was just published looking at both the effectiveness or the efficacy

and any potential detriment from the low phobMamp diet in the long term.

0:57.0

Now, why this matters is one of the most effective diets for improving gut health is the low FobMap diet.

1:05.0

In fact, we have data showing between a 50 to 80% response rate of digestive symptoms with a low phob map diet.

1:14.8

And I'll detail this more in a moment.

phobab map diet is could this diet lead to when adher long-term, deleterious effects on the microbiota

or potentially development of micronutrient insufficiencies?

And thankfully, we have a meta-analysis just recently published that answers these questions for us.

So we'll briefly define what the low phobmamp diet is,

1:47.2

why you should consider the low phobmep diet, and then unpack the results of this study

1:51.4

answering these very important questions. All right, let's jump in.

1:56.5

Firstly, what are phobmaps and why should you care? The high-level perspective on this is the more digestive symptoms you have, the more likely it is

2:07.5

that high phob-map foods may make your digestion worse.

2:13.1

Now, what do I mean by that?
