President Biden winning tonight's primary in Georgia and that it will become the

presumptive Democratic presidential nominee. Tonight's win has the president surpassing the 1968 delegates that he needs.

Georgia does not register voters by party but makes primary voters pick a party for which

to vote.

Early voting in Georgia began in mid-February.

The Associated Press projects former President Trump also won the state of Georgia.

He needs to also win Mississippi, Washington State, and Hawaii to surpass the

1215 delegates that he needs. In a statement President Biden said in part

freedom and democracy are at risk here at home in a way they have not been since the Civil War.

Donald Trump is running a campaign of resentment, revenge, and retribution that threatens

the very idea of America.

He goes on to say that he is glorifying

dictators and pledging to become one himself on day one. A federal judge has

approved the 92 million dollar bond put up by former President Trump to ensure that writer

E. Jean Carroll will receive the jury award in the defamation case against him

if the case survives an appeal. The Pentagon tapping into some savings to send critically needed military

aid to Ukraine.

The Biden administration is sending $300 million in artillery and other military assistance

to Ukraine using previously approved funding that was not

needed because Pentagon contracts came in under cost.
