Hey everybody and welcome back to I Just Want to talk about the Bible.

If this is your first time joining us today, then let me just welcome you and say that I am so glad that you're here.

My name is Christian Keeter and I live in the southeast of the United States of America with my amazing, beautiful,

godly wife Lacey, and our two wonderful daughters, Felicity and Serenity.

So I have a Bible reading plan that I have been very slowly following for the past while now,

and the reason why it's moving so slowly is because I have often paused if I feel like the Lord is showing me something else or having me focus on a different area rather than just continuing to push forward with the Bible reading plan.

I've wanted to, you know, follow the spirit.

But having said that, I do have a Bible reading plan. And recently, as I've been working

through it, I came to the book of Ruth. And as I read through the book of Ruth, it's a very short

book. It's going to be, I believe, the eighth book in our Old Testament, right? So Genesis, Exodus,

Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, Joshua Judges, yeah, Ruth. So, eighth book.

I was really encouraged by two things that really kind of leapt off the page to me.

And two things I feel like the Lord really highlighted.

And I want to share those two things with you today because I believe that they will also encourage you.

However, instead of just jumping

to what those two things are, I don't want to take it for granted that you are necessarily

super familiar with the Book of Ruth. You may be. You may not be. So what we're going to do is we're just

going to do a brief overview of the book, but this overview is very much just trying to get us to

the place where I can share these two

things with you and hopefully they will, their significance will be more clearly seen as a result

of having done that overview. So quickly, or maybe not so quickly, I guess we'll see. Let's look at the

book of Ruth.
