0:00.0 | Hi there. I'm Adrian and welcome to be still be loved for kids. I invite you to get into a comfortable position. Maybe that's sitting down in a comfy chair or lying down on the floor or on your couch or on your bed. |
0:32.0 | And as you get comfortable, I want you to just take in some deep breaths. |
0:37.6 | Breathe in through your nose and breathe out through your mouth. |
0:45.0 | Begin to calm your mind and calm your body. |
1:15.0 | Find a position with your body that you can be still. Take a deep breath in through dark room. |
1:34.0 | I mean the room is so dark you can't even see your hands in front of your face. |
1:43.0 | And all of a sudden... face. |
1:48.0 | And all of a sudden, in that dark room, |
1:55.0 | you see a candle light up. What color is the flame on that candle? |
2:01.0 | Maybe you see sparks of yellow or red or orange, or maybe as you get to the center of that flame, you even see little sparks of blue in the middle of that candle flame. |
2:18.4 | But what you begin to notice is as the flame flickers in that dark room, it begins to radiate light into that dark space. |
2:31.0 | And you can actually see the floor and the walls. |
2:36.8 | You can see your hands and your feet. |
2:41.8 | You begin to see things around you. |
2:44.0 | As you take a deep breath in through your nose, |
2:52.0 | I want you to blow out the air through your mouth but blow it |
2:57.2 | softly so that as you blow your breath on that candle flame, that it wiggles, but it doesn't burn out. |
3:08.3 | Let's try that together. So inhale, breathe in through your nose and gently breathe that air out so that the flame wiggles, but it doesn't burn out. Just as God's word, in Psalm, 105 says, your word is like a lamp for my feet and a light for my way. |
3:48.0 | Just as God's word is a lamp for our feet, that candle is a light for that dark room. |
4:00.0 | God's light shines bright for us just like that candle in this dark world. |
4:10.0 | Sometimes we might not know what to do. |
