On October 18th, 2022, a jury found Paul Flores guilty of the first degree murder of Kristen

Smart.

28 minutes later, a separate jury found his father, Ruben Flores, not guilty of accessory after

the fact.

In the final episode of People vs. Flores, Chris will take you inside the courtroom for

the final days of the trial, with some of the people you've been waiting to hear from.

For several reasons, the episode will not be released until after sentencing is complete.

Part of this is logistical, as some parties aren't available for interviews until after

sentencing.

While the other part is cautionary, the integrity of this case and trial are still a top priority.

The fence attorney Robert Sanger requested a delay in sentencing in order to file a motion

for a new trial.

That delay was granted on December 2nd.

Paul Flores is currently scheduled to be sentenced on March 10th.
