0:24.0 | and I think it's important we have to do a deeper dive. I mean I want to know what's going on in your brain |
0:29.0 | I want to know your thoughts about big concepts and I can only imagine some of the incredible stories that you've witnessed over the |
0:36.0 | year so welcome back and thank you for doing a part two. Let's get it. Okay let's go easy first. Okay. What is the hardest part about self growth? |
0:49.0 | Just facing off with yourself for me because our ego always tells us that it's not our fault that it's always something external that's the reason why. |
1:00.0 | Which at times it's true you know there are people who play roles and things but to actually look at yourself and be like oh maybe I was being a jerk to that person. |
1:11.0 | And I should have some more humility to actually question myself because I've done this in my journey where it's like let's say I was out of line with how I handled a situation. |
1:23.0 | And instead of being defensive and closing up and just being stubborn and moving on I'm like no that's the way it is. It's like come back with like you know actually I wasn't being nice. |
1:33.0 | So those little things for me especially me as as a Leo have my chart is Leo in astrology. So for me the hardest thing and healing is to actually look at yourself and be like you know what like sometimes I have to look at myself deeper all the time like what what did I do you know like what did I do or why am I allowing myself to go into these situations. |
1:55.0 | I know what you mean when you when you say like just just almost surrender in a way to being not perfect to making a mistake. |
2:05.0 | And then like while you were saying that I started to like feel this like tightness in my chest just imagining feeling like I had to apologize and I was just like breathe through it. |
2:14.0 | Like just breathe through that feeling surrender to the feeling like we're not perfect and then that spawned my thought into reminding remembering that you do breath work as well that coaching breath work. |
2:25.0 | Do you think that that coincides with just kind of doing the self growth work. Talk to me about that a little bit. |
2:31.0 | Yeah because breath work resets our nervous system it actually it silences the ego like that part of us that keeps us wants to keep us safe but also keeps us stubborn at the same time. |
2:41.0 | And it allows us to to soften in our body. I've never once let a breath work session with people and afterward we're like oh I hated this. |
2:51.0 | You know like yeah. |
2:53.0 | So breath work really helps reset the nervous system in ways of just you have to surrender because you're becoming so oxygenated in the body that your body is like whoa what is this thing. |
3:05.0 | And then in that process a lot of emotions come up a lot of a lot of feelings things that you bury down deep in your belly you know different parts of your body. |
3:13.0 | So breathing with the healing aspect of of the journey is very important. This is this is the part of the somatic healing as people might say. |
3:22.0 | Because we can do journal prompts we can do meditation we can do a lot of things you know with our minds but we also need to support our bodies to catch up with our minds and breath work is one of those things for me that. |
3:34.0 | I use as a tool. |
