a case that would take years and the brave actions of another young girl to finally solve.

On April 25, 2013, Jessica Lynn Huringa, a 25-year-old mother of a three-year-old little

boy, was working her night shift at the Exxon Station in Norton Shores, Michigan, when a female customer came in and commented how unsafe it was for her to be working there so late all on her own.

Saying her boyfriend should at the very least accompany her, a man reportedly overheard the conversation and interjected,

she's got her customers looking out for her too, as Jessica, according to the later reports,

shook her head and then moved as if a shiver ran down her spine.

Commenting further, the customer said that Jessica didn't seem like her usual happy self,

and that they could tell that something was wrong.

Worried, the female parked outside the station until it closed,

and though she did observe a strange man leaving the building that night,

nothing else seemed amiss.

The following night, at 10.55 p.m., the last transaction was recorded on Jessica's register,

and just five minutes later, the Exxon manager and her husband drove by the station and noticed a man
