statement. It goes, the great name is not our name. It's God's name. The great person in the

story is not Elijah.

It is the Lord God of Elijah. We've seen him living by this brook and discovering the divine

refreshment that God gives there and learning to lean on the divine sufficiency in the morning and in

the evening. And now we come to the end of this part of the story.

And frankly, it takes a turn that is unexpected. One that we would not, we would not have put in

the story, but the Lord does for a very definite reason. Verse seven says, and it came to pass after a while

that the brook dried up because there had been no rain
