I want you to open the Word of God with me, if you will, please,

to the book of Hosea in your Old Testament.

Probably not a book we go to very often.

Probably we should go much more frequently because it is a book that reveals us the heart of God and the love

of God for fallen sinners which all of us qualify. What an amazing book it is. And I must tell you

that when you come to the book of Osea, you come to a story that is marked by sin and all of the

sorrow and all of the suffering that grows out of it.

But when you get to the end of the story, how many of you glad sin is not the last chapter?

Our failures is not the end of the story, that God is the God of New Beginnings.

When you get to the last chapter, you get to what I think is one of

the greatest revival chapters in all of the Bible. It is Josea chapter number 14. I still hear a few

pages turning. That's Matthew, Mark, Luke, Josea, if that helps you any, all right?

Josea chapter 14 and verse number one begins this way oh israel let's just

pause there a moment can you hear the heart of god can you hear the loving tone of the lord

whose heart is broken over the brokenness sin has brought.

Sin is awful.
