What's up everybody? Welcome back to Black Girl Gone After Thoughts. I of course am your

host Amara and I am here with my husband and my co-host Jason. What's up y'all? So this week

we did a solved story but it was a story that had kind of an unexpected ending and I think

people were surprised at the ultimate outcome of this story. I was too when I did the research

and was writing this story. I know that this story had been featured on fatal attraction. It's

been featured on a couple of other true crime stories but it was just one of those stories that I

you know for there's always different reasons why I choose to share a story that's solved you know

there's no mystery there's no you know someone who needs to be found or a murderer on the loose but

there's always a reason to tell a story and to honor a victim and Tavia's story was really sad

and you know all of the murders that we cover are senseless but because of the ultimate outcome

of this story Tavia's murder was especially senseless because it just didn't need to happen

and so you know that's why I chose the story this week and and brought you that story.

Yeah I will say this starting off I think that this story was a story that a lot of people

maybe never heard of and I would say there's probably more people that didn't hear of it.

Yeah this is a this is a fairly unknown story and I think that you know at the end of the day

it's good that you told it because number one more than anything black black girl going is

you know sharing their platform to tell these stories but also as we talk about in aftertarts

it's about awareness and the and things that can be even learned or lessons that can be learned

from these stories I know a lot of a lot of women listen to these stories a lot of young women a lot

of men listen to these stories and so there's there's always things that we can learn and

get from from telling these stories on top of honoring the victims and and making sure

their stories are told a lot of times you know there's always this situation where families don't
