Proponents of biblical manhood and womanhood say they value and cherish women, yet what happens when one woman challenges their view?

Well, one woman has, and she's been blacklisted, cyber bullied, and kicked out of an organization that once embraced her.

reporting the truth and restoring the church. I'm Julie Roy's. And today I'm going to be speaking with

Amy Bird. Amy is a blogger, speaker, and author of recovering from biblical manhood and womanhood,

a book that takes aim at the biblical manhood and womanhood movement. So it's not surprising that

Amy has become a target of criticism. But what's been leveled at Amy is not mere criticism. It's

outright harassment and cyberbullying. There are men on Facebook saying things like, and I quote,

I wish her husband loved her enough to tell her to shut up. That came from a pastor of a reformed church in Indiana.

Another pastor at a Presbyterian church in Virginia said,

why can't these women just take their shoes off and make us sandwiches?

Some have even attacked Amy's appearance, calling her butch and haggard

and fostering a, quote, kick-ass look.

Of course, nasty things are said on social media

every day. But again, these disparaging comments were made by pastors and elders and officers

and Amy's own denomination, the Orthodox Presbyterian Church. But there have been actions

taken against Amy as well. In the past several weeks, she's been removed from a popular

podcast she co-hosted called Mortification of Spin. Apparently, the board of the group that supports

the podcast, the Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals, voted to remove Amy. So what's going on? Is this all

evidence of some closet misogyny that's lurking in some conservative

evangelical circles? Or does Amy deserve to be treated this way? And are her views so out of bounds
