So folks, since ancient times, people have wondered about intelligent life elsewhere in the

universe. Yes, ancient times. Today, most people and most scientists believe there is intelligent

life, at least somewhere in the universe apart from our planet. But if we ever found it,

what would the implications be for the Christian faith? What religious views might aliens hold?

If any, what might they know about God? Should we evangelize them? Would they need evangelization?

Could they even become Christians? And that's what we'll be talking about on this episode

of Jimmy Aiken's Mysterious World. So Jimmy, we want to give a caution up front. What is this

caution we want to give? We don't even know if intelligent aliens exist, much less how they would

relate to the faith. Consequently, everything in this episode should be understood as pure speculation.

It's informed speculation, but it's just pure speculation. It's the best kind of speculation.

Hopefully pure informed. Yeah. So I'm not saying that any of the possibilities we will be covering

are likely. When I say something is possible, I mean that it's logically possible. It doesn't

involve a contradiction of terms like married bachelor or square circle or foresighted triangle.

I am also not saying anything we are going to cover is probable or something that the

Magisterium would eventually conclude is true, but within those parameters, we're trying to have an
