50 years ago today, this very day that this episode releases, in fact, Charles

Maint, tonight, that's right, Charles Manson and his sinister family work

conducting a series of horrific murders. They terrified Southern California and shocked the

nation and the world, really. Some credit them with bringing the 1960s hippie culture to an end by

this act. In this year, there have been several motion pictures about it released, including one

starring a matchmith of Dr. Hoofame as Charles Manson. And right now, there's a lot of talk

of Manson in the news with people hyping and sensationalizing what happened, and frankly,

scaring people all over again. But Jimmy has done a careful study of the Manson murders,

and he says, there's reasons not to be scared. And that's what we'll be talking about on this

episode of Jimmy Aiken's Mysterious World. Now, Jimmy, I understand we want to begin with

several reassurances for the listeners. What are those? Yeah. Well, so first of all,

as always, when we do a true crime episode, we're not going to be dwelling on gory

sensationalistic details. We're going to be keeping it clinical. So if you have a

squeamish stomach, you don't have to worry, we're not going to be going into all the really
