We'll be getting reports from him this week on the U.S. election and be speaking to many

And I'm joined today by Jacob Halbrun, the editor of the

national interest. Jacob, great to see you. Hi, I'm delighted to be here. Have you caught up on sleep?

I'm sure you were up all night following the election result a few nights ago. I was. I slept quite

serenely last night, unlike many discountenance liberals in America.

Oh, okay.

Well, we'll come back to that.

But let's start with perhaps the liberal contingency, thousands of whom were outside Howard University last night watching the vice president give her concession speech.

What did you make of the speech?

I thought the speech was fine. Some Trump

followers are saying that it came too late, but, you know, it took a week for Richard M. Nixon

to concede in 1960 to JFK. So that didn't perturb me. She also announced that the fight has not

ended. In essence, she was saying it has only begun. And it looks

like she may be contemplating another run in 28. My own view is that she is a spent force.
