We built this podcast out of the live programme we do for BBC Radio Scotland, which is called Out of Doors.

And this week it was all sorts of things. We had two mystery birds. We had bike rides.

And we even had a wee device called an aurory. This is what it sounded like.

Hello and a very good morning to you. It's another glorious morning here in the car park in BBC

Aberdeen. Clear blue sky, sun's not quite up yet. Busy, busy though coming in on the roads.

I had to slow down at one stage. A six road year ran from one side of the road to the other and then

up this park a spring barley.

Stop the car and just watch them to disappear out of sight. Wonderful animals. I'm Mark Steven,

joining me this weekend from his stately home in Bamshire, Mr Ewan McElraith, Esquire.

Yeah, I can take your deer and raise you one mallard. We're going up to Marlodge, more of which in a wee well.

And there was a mallard looking absolutely dazed in the middle of the road. So I went out and scooped them up.

Put it to one side and he kind of looked at me and then scuttled off.

But there's just so much going on in the countryside at the moment.

Daffodils are out. The badgers are eating the tulips. And on Thursday we were up

at Mar Lodge in the Cairn Gorms,
