Hey there, listeners. Welcome to Horror Movie Club, the show where two dudes who aren't

quite nerds, but not quite nubes. Choose a horror movie each week to rate and review. I'm Ashton and I'm on the

phone with Brian. And this week, as part of our month of sequel September, we're going to be

covering the 1992 film, Army of Darkness, the third film in the Evil Dead trilogy, directed by

Sam Ramey, written by Sam and Ivan Ramey, and starring Bruce Campbell and Embitt Davitz and Marcus Gilbert.

In this third film of the franchise, our main character, Ash, now finds himself transported to the year 1300 where he has to help

Lord Arthur and a bunch of people in a castle battle an army of deadites. If you are new to our

show we're going to have a spoiler-free discussion for the first 10 to 15 minutes we'll just talk

about the background and then we'll take a quick break. You'll hear a little bit of music.

Then we'll come back, dive into the plot, the spoilers, and get into our review.

But it had been a long time.

I was excited to revisit because I didn't even realize this, but it'd been a long time. I hadn't seen it in a while. I was excited to revisit

picking up where we left off here. And I was excited to check this out after Evil Dead 2 because,

you know, I wasn't up as high on Evil Dead 2 as you were and as most people are.

So I was thinking, in my mind, I like this one better.

So I was eager to see if that still held true.
