I'm Alan Olga and this is clear and vivid conversations about connecting and communicating. Even though we don't know what the outcome is going to be,

even though we don't have the optimistic certainty that it's all going to be okay in the end.

We can control what we do and we can have joy in the process of doing it.

Um, and so I guess I just don't worry so much about how it all turns out. I just do my best to try to ensure we have the best possible future, even though it's not going to be a perfect one,

it can be much, much better than it would be if we just all thought this is too hard and I don't have enough hope I'm not

certain about the outcome this doesn't seem likely to work and just give up I

guess I guess what I kind of want to say is like we don't get to

quit on life on earth. That just seems like a terrible plan.

Acknowledging that our planet is going to be an increasingly uncomfortable home.

She argues that there's plenty we as individuals can do to keep it livable.

The technology to slow the pace of climate change exists.

It just needs to be implemented, one of her favorite words. And that's

where each of us has a role to play while having fun doing it. She spelled out

her ideas in her new book that's tantalizingly titled,

This is going to be really interesting for me because in your very informative and I have to say sobering book.
