I'm Alan Olga and this is clear and vivid conversations about connecting and communicating. When I was 18, I went to work at Natsbury Farm at a theater, a little small theater,

and I met a woman, and I kind of, I fell in love with her and she convinced me at the time that

knowledge was the greatest goal you could have and so I for the first time in my life I got

serious about college you got serious about college,

serious about studying and wanted to study philosophy.

And I did.

I didn't graduate.

I went for four years because in the fourth year I changed my major to theater.

I realized, yeah, I think this is more for me, this theater thing.

That of course is Steve Martin.

He's currently starring in the hit TV series,

only murders in the building.

For more than 60 years, he's had an extraordinary career.

It includes hit movies and incredibly successful career in

stand-up, writing screenplays, creating what I think is a

classic magic act act and playing the banjo like nobody's

business and even now he and Martin Short are playing the huge throngs as they

tour the country with their two-man comedy show.

Steve's extraordinary career is the subject of a wonderful two-part documentary.
