I, well, maybe not much happier, happier circumstances than when we spent so much time recording those pods back in 2020, but my guy, Ben Taylor, how are you doing, man?

Yeah, so we stay in touch, obviously, and I texted you after I saw your latest video, all of which is obviously awesome.

I keep saying this. We're not doing video here, so I won't make you blush, but I, you are, I think,

the preeminent basketball historian out there because, you know, you actually watch the video

from back then and, and compare it.

But, I mean, I say that, like, it's a low bar and it's not, like, you just have to go

through so much stuff to find

all the examples that you come up with uh so uh i'll leave it to you tell us about your latest

video because i wanted to have you on to discuss it well uh it started i think with this idea of

you know everyone's saying there's too many threes in the game but those talking talking points kind of spreading and continuing, and obviously they've been around for a little while, but I got inundated with them finally in my YouTube algorithm. And I just didn't realize how deep and how many former player podcasts and how many clips on TNT and things were kind of delving into this idea that

the game is stale. It lacks creativity. The old ways are better. Everyone just shoots threes now

and like jumpers. You didn't used to be a thing in the past. So there was a lot for me to bite off.

And I actually started originally the video was like, I'm going to go through those points and I'm

going to address them. And I realized, you know, maybe the better way to do this is just to pick a

game from a different era and not curate anything. Because I have, I have thousands of historical

clips I could go to. But why not just take something from one era, something from another era and something from

today and compare them? And so that was the basically the setup for the video to try to sort

of address these things. And the last thing I'll say before we jump in is that I say it at

the beginning of the video, none of this means you have to prefer one style over another, right? That's

like a personal preference. That's an aesthetic. But there are just
