This week on Under the Skin I spoke with Reverend Stephen Kotruh who is the Bishop of Chelmsford in the UK, an actual Bishop that I wanted to speak to because I read his book of analyses

on the paintings of the British artist Stanley Spencer famous for painting Christ in everyday situations

on a high street at a regatta. Don't have a regatta every day I appreciate that it would be expensive and mental in the winter

particularly but what I mean to say is he extracts Christ from the Bible sticks him on the

street sort of making the point Christ has got to be here now to be relevant.

So anyway, he's a sort of an art critic as well as a bishop, and I thought that would be be interesting and it is interesting to talk to someone

who's got a doctrinaire committed faith in one particular aspect of religion.
