We started by discussing John's childhood in Detroit.

I went walking one day in this little community called Georgetown,

and the MC5 were in a garage, and they were like horrible.

But, you know, it was a bunch of they're badass they're badass but anyway it was like something cool to see they were just in your neighborhood in our

neighborhood so anyway so i went through that and then all of a sudden my my father said we're going to move to

Torino Italy I said to Reno Italy is that's the end of my life I'm 12 years old

I mean all my friends are in a five mile radius here and I mean I can't even ride a

bike that far anyway so we moved there

one of the greatest experiences of my life and i i've got a dartboard in my office this is

places you want to return to places that are favorites of yours my my sales team got me this, the Adventures of John Good, Global Map, and I want to go back

there.

You haven't been back since?

I have, but, you know, it's such a beautiful place, Italy.

But what business was your dad in that brought you the family to Italy?

He was in a machine tool business. And he actually helped Johnny and Yelly put Russia on wheels.

And Business Week magazine was very kind to have awarded him an honor

as one of the top dogs. So did your dad have his own company? Well, he actually started as a draftsman.
