So glad to be here. I just finished office today with an adult patient with autism. And, you know,

she was really struggling not only with, you know, adulthood in autism, but, you know, overlapping ADHD, attention deficit disorder. And, you know, adulthood and autism, but, you know, overlapping ADHD, attention deficit disorder,

and, you know, so many medicines and complications to get older.

So as introduction, I'm a practicing internist and cardiologist in Dallas, Texas.

I'm a research epidemiologist, president of McCullough Foundation.

That's our research and, you know,

publicly facing academic organization.

And Karen, you've had a longstanding involvement in this entire area of autism, which the CDC says

is our biggest childhood epidemic.

One in 33 kids is diagnosed with autism today.

And in the 1950s, it was one in 10,000.

And to be very, very clear, this is not due to a better diagnostic ability today.

This has to do with a lot of environmental factors and multiple things that we can go into
