is going to be cancer or malignancy.

And almost all of us have concerns about the future risk of cancer.

Some of you listening have had cancer.

And if you haven't, you probably have people in your family or family circles with cancer. Some of you may even have pets that have had cancer.

So what cancer is, is that when normal cells divide,

they rely on a perfect genetic code that allows

replication of the genetic material and the recreation of another cell

that is perfectly healthy. And when cells divide and they divide over and over again to not only produce

tissues and organs, but also for the maintenance of these tissues in organs.

It's very important.

So there is cellular turnover in the body.

So in some cases it's fairly rapid.

The bone marrow, for instance, in your red blood cells,

they only last in the body a month or two.

Yet other cells are long-lasting. Any of you have had a

laceration on your skin, you'd recognize that it takes some time for the cut on your skin to heal,

and then a scar is formed, and then slowly that scar can go away. As a general rule, when people ask me, Dr. McCullough, when is my elbow fracture
